The total of positive COVID-19 cases rose by more than 2,000 over the last two days in the state.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number of positive cases was 67,475 as of 2 p.m. Sunday, August 16- up from 65,270 on Friday, August 14.

The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by 32 from 1,335 on Friday to 1,367 on Sunday.

DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 17.
