After two straight days with now new cases of COVID-19 reported, Saline County added 21 new cases to its total number on Wednesday, August 19.

According to Health Department Administrator, Tara Brewer, there are now 498 total positive cases of the virus that have been confirmed in the county. On a good note, there were six more people released from observation Wednesday, bringing the total number of persons classified as “recovered’ to 418. There are now 71 active cases, no one is currently hospitalized due to the virus and there have been a total of 9 deaths related to the virus in Saline County.

These numbers are based on case management provided by health department staff.
