Increasing by just under 800 on Tuesday, August 18, the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the state of Missouri is now more than 69,400.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number of positive cases was 69,417- up from 68,623 on Monday, August 17.

Another nine COVID-19-related deaths were added, increasing that total from 1,393 on Monday to 1,402 on Tuesday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19.
