During its meeting this week, the Slater City Council approved a tax rate that is a little less than it was last year.
City Administrator Gene Griffith explains.
Griffith also said the city received a grant that will cover more than half the cost of a much-needed ton-and-a-half flatbed truck and hydraulic-tilt trailer.
In other news, Griffith said the Saline County Commission approved the city’s application to be reimbursed $26,000 for expenses the city incurred relating to its COVID-19 response out of the county’s $2.6 million of CARES Act funding.
