
A couple of felony charges have been field against a 51-year-old Deepwater man who allegedly left the scene of an accident on July 28 in Pettis Couunty.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the driver of a Toyota Tacoma was pulling into his driveway when the vehicle was sideswiped by a motorcycle. The bike’s driver was ejected during the crash and shortly thereafter left the scene. The truck suffered damage from the rear bumper to the front bumper on the passenger’s side. Investigation revealed Charles Shane Spellemeyer was the driver of the bike.
A warrant has been requested and Spellmeyer has been charged with Class E Felonies for Leaving the Scene of an Accident- Property Damage exceeding $1,000 and Driving While Revoked or Suspended; and a driving-related misdemeanor. Bond has not been set yet.
Spellmeyer’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
