While the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 continued to increase in the state, the number of COVID-19-related deaths stayed the same as the day before on Monday, August 24.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number of positive cases was 75,944- up from 75,075 on Sunday, August 23.

The number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 1,426- the same as it was on Sunday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25.
