The City of Sedalia has announced it will begin chip and seal on various streets in Sedalia next week. With the possibility of rain in the forecast for Monday, work will not begin until Tuesday, September 1.

The following list provides the streets that will be impacted by the chip and seal project.

Tuesday, September 1
New England Dr. along W. 14th St. to the dead end
W. 11th St. from S. State Fair Blvd. to S. Limit Ave.
W. 11th St. from S. State Fair Blvd. to Sue Lane
W. 10th St. from S. Grand Ave. to S. Limit Ave.

Wednesday, September 2
Wing Ave. from Skyline Dr. to Southwest Blvd.
Golf Dr. from Plaza Ave. to Highway Dr.
Southwest Blvd. from W. 32nd St. to Clarendon Rd.
Clarendon Rd. from the Missouri State Fair Grounds Camping Entrance to Gate 8
Snyder Ave. from B Hwy to End

Thursday, September 3
Poplar Place from Honeysuckle Rd. to Country Club Dr.
Honeysuckle Rd. from Poplar Place to Greenwood Ln.
Greenwood Ln. from Driftwood Dr. to Honeysuckle Rd.
S. Stewart Ave. from W. 32nd St. to W. 35th St.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes on the day work is scheduled for a specific street or allow for additional travel time as periodic lane closures will occur while work is being done.
