Saline County Collector Cindi Sims gave an update on the county’s annual real-estate tax sale of delinquent properties during the county commission meeting on Thursday, August 27.

Sims said there were 61 first-, second- and third-year offerings available and some sold on Monday, August 24.

Sims said the third-year properties that didn’t sell will be offered to the cities in which they are located.

Sims said two properties sold for surplus, and she has a check in the amount of $582.51 to be turned over to Treasurer Marty Smith for surplus funds.
