football-cancelled

Centralia High School was notified late Friday afternoon that a football player at Mexico has tested positive for COVID-19. In light of this news, administrations at both schools have made the decision to cancel tonight’s football game.

In a message from the Centralia High School Principal Matt Smith, he thanked both school’s coaching staffs and teams for their hard work preparing for this season and tonight’s anticipated season opener. Smith went on to say, while the outcome of tonight is disappointing for everyone involved, both schools encourage all student athletes to continue to persevere and be optimistic.

At this time, this is the only sporting event that has been affected due to this news.
