A 20-year-old Gilliam resident is facing a felony charge for allegedly leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit on multiple roadways in Howard County on August 13.
According to a Fayette Police report, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Louisiana Court and East Depot Street. But just after the officer exited his vehicle, the driver of the suspect vehicle sped away. At one point, the suspect vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles dangerously on blind hills, so the police officer terminated the chase. The driver was later apprehended by a Howard County deputy just before leaving Howard County.
