A 26-year-old Sedalia man charged with multiple felonies after a reported incident in June.

According to a police report, on June 7, a woman alleged Casey Allen Stevens tried attacking her and her nephew with a pitchfork, then threw the pitchfork through her truck window.

Stevens admitted to officers that he had thrown the pitchfork through the windshield of the truck, but he denied the allegations that he used the pitchfork to threaten or assault anyone.

The officer observed Stevens threaten the nephew with the pitchfork and then throw it through the windshield of the truck while reviewing video surveillance.

Stevens is charged with a Class D Felony for Assault in the Second Degree; a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action; and a misdemeanor for property damage in the second degree. Stevens posted the required $50,000 surety bond on June 26.

The court bound this case over to the Circuit Division of the Pettis County Court. An arraignment has been scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28.
