
Four counties in the KMMO listening area gave updates on COVID-19 cases on Sunday, August 30.
According to health-department officials, four new positive cases were confirmed increasing the total to 136 since the beginning of the pandemic in Howard County. With 81 positive patients released from isolation as recovered- including two over the weekend- there are 55 active cases, including three persons hospitalized.
Three new positive cases were added in Cooper County, raising its overall total to 229. With 182 positive patients recovered and three deaths, there are 44 active cases, including one person hospitalized. Eleven of the positive cases are travel related and 218 are through community transmission. Positive congregate-living cases number 102- 73 inmates and 29 employees. Eight positive cases are in nursing homes and assisted-living centers.
In Carroll County, three new positive cases have been confirmed since Tuesday, August 25, raising the county’s total to 95. With 92 recoveries, three cases are active.
The Chariton County Health Center confirmed one new positive case, increasing the total to 33 in the county. With 22 positive patients recovered, there are 11 active cases.
Updates were not available over the weekend from Saline, Lafayette and Pettis Counties.
