Marshall Public Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher says she believes the district is ready to begin classes on Wednesday, September 2.
Dr. Maher says transportation will be a bit different this year. She said any student who lives under a mile from their school this year will not be eligible for bus transportation. The district hasn’t enforced that rule in the past, but with social distancing recommended, it is being adhered to this year.
Dr. Maher says all precautions and safety measures are being taken.
Dr. Maher says the district has a mask mandate in place. She says all students and staff are required to wear masks inside the buildings. Although it will be a little bit different for smaller Owls.
Dr. Maher added she is beginning to host her fireside chats again. She said they are scheduled for each Monday. She said patrons of the district can e-mail her their questions at cmaher@marshallowls.com. She said will try to address as many of the questions as she can on a weekly basis.
