A groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 5, 2019, and now the Spainhower Primary School addition is nearing completion on the campus formerly known as the Marshall Habilitation Center.

Marshall Public Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher says Marshall residents will be proud of the addition.

Dr. Maher says it is amazing the work that has been completed considering there were a lot of rainy days.

When opened, the building will be used for education of Pre-K through first-grade students in the district. First-graders will begin in-person classes on Wednesday, September 2. Kindergarteners will begin Wednesday, September 2, but they will distance learn the first few days. Their first day of in-person classes will be Tuesday, September 8. The first day for Pre-K students will be Monday, September 14.
