Temperatures cooled slightly in August compared to July, and there was a lot less precipitation at the KMMO Studio on Marshall.

According to statistics from the National Weather Service, the average high temperature was 84.9 degrees in August, down from 87.7 degrees in July. The high was 94 degrees on August 26, 27 and 28.

The average low temperature was 63.5 degrees, with the low of 54 being recorded on August 4.

The total precipitation was 1.42 inches, less than 20 percent of July’s total of 7.58 inches. The most rainfall- 0.53 inches- fell on August 8.
