More than 1,000 positive COVID-19 cases were added to the state’s overall total on Tuesday, September 1.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the total number of positive cases was 85,755- up from 84,687 on Monday, August 31.

The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by eight from 1,530 on Monday to 1,538 on Tuesday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2.
