During the meeting of the Marshall Park Board on Wednesday, September 2, Parks and Recreation Director Chad Unterreiner gave an update on the renovation/replacement of the tennis courts.

Unterreiner said the project, which has had the courts not available all summer, is on track for completion next month.

Unterreiner said the park is pretty fortunate the project is on track.

Unterreiner said there was a slight downturn in revenue from the aquatic center due to the shortened season, but otherwise, things are in good shape.

Unterreiner was pleased that sales-tax numbers were up for July compared to last year. The park received $68,418.17 through the half-cent park-improvement sales tax compared to $58,823.55 in 2019. The fiscal year ends on September 30.
