A manhunt is under way after an alleged homicide in Howard County on Monday, September 7.

According to information available, a warrant has been issued for the suspect- 44-year-old Emmitt Wood Jr. Wood, who goes by J.R., is described as a 5-foot-8 white male who is bald with a goatee. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The victim reportedly is a female in her 20s who suffered multiple stab wounds. Her name has not been released by authorities.
