Kirchhoff and Emilie (Mayme) Steinkuehler Kirchhoff, she was also preceded in death by her two beloved brothers and their wives, Leland A. and Helen E. Kirchhoff as well as Rev. Marvin J. and Mary Virginia Kirchhoff. Evelyn took delight in sharing time with her nieces and nephew who survive her; Sally Kirchhoff of Concordia, Sharon (Dale) Hilpert of Jackson, Wyoming, and Ret. Col. Paul (Michelle) Kirchhoff of Jefferson City. Evelyn loved to reminisce about family dinners held at her home many years ago after which she and Harold had hosted Easter egg hunts for Sally, Sharon and Paul during their childhoods.
Additional close family members include Loren (Nora) Windmeyer and Keith (Christy) Windmeyer of Grand Pass, Glenn (Joyce) Windmeyer of St. Joseph, and Dennis (Donna) Windmeyer of Mooresville as well as their children and grandchildren. One great-niece, two great-nephews, numerous cousins, and also her church families of St. Luke United Church of Christ in Grand Pass and St. John United Church of Christ in Emma also survive her. Evelyn was well known for her sharp memory, her love for her family, and her belief in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was lovingly referred to as “Evie” by the kind, caring staff members at the Good Shepherd Care Community who capably met her every need.
