Marshall Municipal Utilities has announced Stephen Harris and Jose Almazan as its “Employees of the Quarter” for the quarter ending June 30, 2020.

In nominating Harris and Almazan, IT & Broadband Director Jim Widel highlighted their efforts during times of reduced manpower.

“Steve and Jose were able to keep us from getting too far behind in constructions and do fiber installs where allowed,” Widel said.

Harris holds the position Lead Fiber Optic Technician and Almazan is a Fiber Optic Technician. Harris joined MMU in that role in October 2005. Almazan joined MMU in May 2016 as General Maintenance/Meter Reader in Underground Facilities. He accepted the role of Fiber Optic Technician in December 2019.
