Barbara Lorraine Peugh, age 81, of Waverly, died Friday, September 11, 2020 at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 19, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Zach Haffecke officiating. There will be no visitation, but friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence.

Born April 5, 1939 in Randolph, NE, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence P. Boysen and Elvina Gunderson Boysen and was a 1957 graduate of Carrollton High School. Barbara had an entrepreneurial spirit about her that led her to being a founder of Accounts Receivable Overload, operating her own pottery business, as well as other various endeavors. She also was involved in sales for many years including being in advertising sales at KMZU. She moved back to Waverly in June 2018 and attended Waverly Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Paul Peters (Nancy) of Waverly; two grandchildren, Katherine Peters and Sam Peters (Felecia); a great-grandson, Braden; two sisters, Patricia Schwartz of Noblesville, IN and Shirley Cantrell Cordonnier of St. Joseph; as well as other extended family members.
