
A 55-year-old Sedalia man has been charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting a woman on September 5.
According to a police report, an officer reported to a residence on Welch Court, and a woman alleged Bobby Wright grabbed her purse and keys out of her hand and started hitting her in the head with the purse. She also alleged Wright dragged her on the ground by her hair. The woman complained of neck and left hip pain. Two other witnesses backed up her story. The officer noticed some redness to her left hip area.
Wright left the scene prior to the arrival of the officer.
A warrant has been requested, and Wright has been charged with a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree. Bond has not been set yet.
Wright’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
