sedalia-200-school-district

Starting Wednesday, September 16, all Sedalia School District 200 students will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost through expansion of summer meal programs provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

A release from the district says the free meals will be provided until the end of the semester or until federal funding is exhausted, whichever comes first.

In addition, free breakfast and lunch grab-and-go meals will be available for pickup weekdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Smith-Cotton Junior High School.

Meals are available for all local children ages 1 to 18. Children need not be present for adults to pick up meals.

Drivers should enter the junior high parking lot entrance on 10th Street near the Katy Trail. District staff will be present to provide directions.

Those picking up meals must remain in their vehicle. Meal pickups will be cut off by 10:30 a.m., so you are urged to plan to arrive by at least 10:15 a.m. to ensure you will receive meals.
