
A 220-plus-mile bike-riding event is scheduled to begin in a little more than a week.
According to a news release, “The Big BAM on the Katy” is set to start on September 28.
The 30th annual event- which includes two stops in the KMMO listening area- begins in Defiance. Prior to that, there is a pre-ride shuttle available from Clinton to Machens at 12:30 p.m. on September 26. This is available for riders who want to leave their vehicle in Clinton and choosing to get an extra day of riding on Saturday, September 27, from Machens to Defiance. Your shuttle and registration fees includes this extra day at no additional cost.
On September 27, the shuttle from Clinton to Defiance departs at 12:30 p.m.

PRE-RIDE September 27: Machens to Defiance: 59.1 miles;
September 28: Defiance to Hermann, 51 miles;
September 29: Hermann to Jefferson City, 46.5 miles;
September 30: Jefferson City to Boonville, 51.1 miles;
October 1: Boonville to Sedalia, 37.6 miles; and
October 2: Sedalia to Clinton, 36.4 miles
Post-ride Shuttle
October 2: Shuttle from Clinton to Defiance departs at 3 p.m., if you left your car in Defiance at the ride’s start.
