Increasing by just under 1,200 on Wednesday, September 16, the state’s total number of COVID-19 cases was more than 106,500.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total increased by 1,191 from 105,396 on Tuesday, September 15 to 106,587.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by another seven from 1,732 on Tuesday to 1,739 on Wednesday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS says the next update is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 17.
