Area authorities made some drug arrests recently.

According to the Higginsville Police Department, a narcotics search warrant was executed on 21st Street on September 11.

Six subjects were arrested in reference to the incident, and felony charges of methamphetamine distribution, methamphetamine possession and maintaining a public nuisance have been requested. Four of the six subjects arrested currently are under supervision by Missouri Probation and Parole for prior felony charges.

The investigation is ongoing, and the department anticipates more charges in reference to the incident.

Names of the subjects have not been released by authorities at this time.
