The City of Sedalia is working with PGAV to create a new “Comprehensive Plan”.

According to the city, obtaining input from residents, business owners and community stakeholders is a key element of the planning process. The city needs to hear from residents and what they want the community to become over the next decade.

This “Comprehensive Plan” is really the city’s road map to develop the City. PGAV has launched www.sedalia2040.com, a website designed to give residents a chance to offer opinions, ideas and new concepts for the plan. The site also will allow residents to monitor the process and react to many of the ideas presented in real time.

Mayor John Kehde says, “The most important part of creating this new plan is to gather the public’s input and provide them the opportunity to be heard and share their vision for our great city. This is an important time in Sedalia’s history as we build civic pride with a brand for our community and a road map to our future. I hope you will attend, either in person or virtually and give us your ideas.”

PGAV will host the first opportunity to participate in the process with a Public Forum at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, in the City Council Chambers at the Municipal Building at 200 South Osage Avenue.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Social distancing will be observed, and masks will be available at the site.
