Marshall Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt gave an update on the paving of streets during the council meeting on Monday, September 21.

Brandt said Capital Paving completed the east side of the square on Monday and finished Odell Avenue. He said the plan is to complete the west side of the square on Tuesday, September 22.

Municipal Services Director Bill Anderson said residents need to pay attention to street closure signs.

Ward 2 Councilman Kirk Arends asked: “When they drive on it, do we have to go back over it and fix that again; is there another cost? Anderson said: “There have been times where we’ve had to stop, go back and remove some asphalt and repave it. They haven’t charged any extra for it; and they’ve been able to fix everything in time. But, there could be thousands of dollars in repaving if enough damage is done.”
