
Ten more COVID-19-related deaths were reported in the KMMO listening area on Monday, September 21.
According to the Saline County Health Department, the 11th death of a county resident since the beginning of the pandemic was a woman in the 70 age range. Thirty new positive cases were reported from Friday through Monday, raising the total to 707. With 604 positive patients recovered and 11 deaths, there are 92 active cases, including four persons hospitalized.
Five more deaths were reported and the number of positive tests spiked by 56 over the weekend and on Monday to 1,000 since the beginning of the pandemic in Pettis County. With 813 positive patients recovered and 11 deaths, there are 171 active cases, including three persons hospitalized.
Four deaths were reported, raising the total to eight deaths in Lafayette County. The Lafayette County Health Center says total positive cases shot up by 46 from 408 on Friday to 454 on Monday.
Six new positive cases were confirmed in Cooper County, raising its total to 388- including 266 county residents and 120 inmates. With 308 positive patients recovered and three deaths, there are 75 active cases.
Through Sunday in Howard County, four new positive cases were reported, increasing its total to 260. With 202 positive patients recovered and one death, there are 57 active cases.
The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Chariton County increased to 71. With 60 positive patients recovered, there are 11 active cases.
No update was available from Carroll County.
