Missouri State Director of Athletics Kyle Moats announced Wednesday that Tim McCall will join the MSU staff as the department’s first video coordinator.

According to a release from MSU, McCall has served as a graduate assistant in the Athletics Communications office at Missouri State since 2018 and will continue working in that unit in his new role.

Originally from Morgantown, Pa., McCall is a 2018 graduate of Colorado State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Communication Studies – Journalism with honors. He also spent two years at Saint Vincent College from 2013-15 as a varsity lacrosse player.

During his time at Colorado State, McCall was a sports producer, anchor and reporter for Collegian Television and parlayed that experience into a graduate assistant position at Missouri State.

At MSU, he has helped provide visual content for a number of video and graphic platforms, including news conferences, event highlights, player profiles, feature stories and social media. In addition to a 300-plus percent increase in social media fan engagement on platforms like Facebook and YouTube, McCall’s award-winning video content has provided a foundation for athletics content and storytelling initiative.

McCall completed his master’s degree in Professional Studies in May with an emphasis in Sports Management. He has also served as a sports intern for KOLR-10 television in Springfield during his time in the Ozarks.

His hire is contingent upon final approval by the Missouri State University Board of Governors at its next scheduled meeting.
