Wife of Governor Mike Parson, and First Lady, Teresa Parson has tested positive for COVID-19. This was the result from a “rapid test” that Mrs. Parson took after suffering several days of fall-like allergy symptoms that lingered on.
Governor Parson was scheduled to hold a luncheon with members of the Missouri Broadcasters Association board on Wednesday at the Governor’s Mansion. The Governor’s Chief of Staff Aaron Willard notified the board just moments before the start of the meeting that the Governor, who is 65, would not be attending the meeting, as he was being tested for the virus.
The Governor was in Jefferson City awaiting his test results while his wife is currently quarantining in their home in Bolivar, Missouri.
Gov. Parson has postponed travel while awaiting the results of a rapid test.
