During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, September 24, Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden gave an update on CARES Act funding.

Gooden said more than $700,000 has been disbursed to different entities through Phases One through Four so far.

Gooden said the deadline for applications is near the end of next month.

Gooden said the county received more than $2.6 million of CARES Act funding to disburse. It was pointed out during earlier meetings that any of the funds not disbursed by December 30, 2020, must be returned to the state.
