Sixteen new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Pettis and Saline Counties on Thursday, September 24.

According to health-department officials in Pettis County, the total is 1,068 since the beginning of the pandemic. With 845 positive patients recovered and 18 COVID-19-related deaths, there are 205 active cases, including four persons hospitalized.

Saline County’s total now is 744. With 620 positive patients recovered- including seven on Thursday- and 12 deaths, 112 cases are active, including three persons hospitalized.

Ten more positive cases were reported in Lafayette County, increasing its total to 489. As of Wednesday, September 23, there were eight deaths and 144 active cases.

Carroll County reported five new positive cases, raising its total to 126. With 112 positive patients recovered and one death, there are 13 active cases.

In Cooper County, four new positive cases raised its total to 423. With three deaths and 348 recoveries, there are 72 active cases.

Two new positive cases were confirmed in Chariton County, increasing its total to 74. With 65 positive patients released from observation as recovered, nine active cases remain.
