Increasing by more than 3,700 over the past couple of days, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in the state has surpassed 122,000 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services says the total increased by 3,703, to 122,014 on Saturday, September 26, from 118,311 on Thursday, September 24.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by 111 from 1,952 on Thursday to 2,063 on Saturday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS says the next update is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 27.
