The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the state remained the same as the day before, but the total number of positive COVID-19 cases increased by nearly 1,400 on Sunday, September 28.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services says the total increased by 1,392, to 123,406 on Sunday from 122,014 on Saturday, September 26.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths remained 2,063 as it was on Saturday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS says the next update is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 28.
