A felony charge has been filed against a 57-year-old Crocker resident for allegedly trying to flee authorities on September 8.

According to a probable-cause statement, a Cooper County deputy was advised a male subject was fleeing the north Cooper County Courthouse doors. Upon the deputy’s arrival, he observed Arnold Wilson Hall Jr. actively resisting another deputy who was attempting to detain him on another warrant. As the deputy was attempting to gain control, Hall was flailing his body to escape his grasp. The deputies were able to take Hall to the ground and gain control. However, Hall continued to resist arrest while on the ground.

Hall has been charged with a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest for a Felony. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Hall’s initial hearing with the most-recent charge is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.

Hall was charged earlier this month for Delivery of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Use of a Weapon charges. He posted $100,000 surety bond on September 8. He entered a plea of not guilty on September 15. His next hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
