
A 20-year-old Marshall resident is facing a felony for allegedly stealing a motor vehicle.
According to a police report, a woman reported her vehicle was parked in the 2600 block of South Villa Court at 9:45 p.m. on September 24, and observed the vehicle was gone at 8:15 a.m. on September 25.
On September 26, the woman contacted the police department and said she believed she located the vehicle on South Colby Avenue.
An investigation revealed Ethan Harris to be the suspect. He told authorities his aunt had given him the vehicle to use. He said he did not know the vehicle was stolen.
Harris has been charged with a Class D felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Harris was arraigned while in custody on Monday, September 28. A counsel-status hearing is scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, at Saline County Circuit Court.
