Another annual event has had to shift gears due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ordinarily hundreds of little ghosts and goblins, super heroes and kids in all types of costume would pack the Marshall Square for the annual “Trick or Treat on the Marshall Square” event.

However, that event has been changed to a drive-thru event at Indian Foothills Park, according to the Marshall Chamber of Commerce, which is hosing the event.

Vehicles should drive slowly so businesses can hand out candy to the children from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28.

The Chamber says it is staying in close contact with the Saline County Health Department. The chamber says health department officials agree that this is a safe way to do this event, and social-distancing guidelines will be followed.
