Richard Lee Adkison, age 75, of Columbia and formerly of Gillam, died Saturday, October 3, 2020.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, at the Missouri State Veterans’ Cemetery in Higginsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Dick’s honor to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Dick is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diana Adkison, of the home; children: Brandy Adkison (Amanda), of Blue Springs, and Brent Adkison, of Brunswick; granddaughter, Jadey Redford and her significant other, David Findlay, of Kansas City; and sister-in-law, Karen Adkison, of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Constance (Aaron) Adkison; and brother, Douglas Adkison.
