U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue is scheduled to host a virtual event to announce USDA’s Distance Learning and Telemedicine Program.

According to a news release, the event is scheduled to be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7.

Secretary Perdue will be announcing millions of dollars in award investments that will help rural communities use the unique capabilities of telecommunications to connect to each other and the world, overcoming the effects of remoteness and low population density.
