Another college football game has been called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a news release, the Missouri Valley College athletic department has announced the postponement of Saturday’s home Heart of America Athletic Conference football game against MidAmerica Nazarene due to COVID-19 safety protocols implemented by MNU.

This game will be made up at a later date, which is still to be determined by the two athletic departments.

“This decision was made out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our student-athletes,” said HAAC Commissioner Lori Thomas. “The conference and teams are adhering to the outlined guidelines in the Heart Promise.”

Originally, the Vikings were scheduled to make up the game against Culver-Stockton, which was postponed from September 12. That game was postponed last week, so Valley and the Pioneers decided to move up their game that was originally scheduled to be played on November 7.
