A Marshall man plead guilty earlier this month to a couple of felony charges after an incident on August 2.
Forrest Ameral was accused fo kicking in the door of a residence and attempting to assault a person inside the home. When Ameral was taken into custody officers say Ameral attempted to escape the patrol vehicle, assaulted the deputy and attempted to cause the officer to crash the vehicle twice.
Ameral was charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree; a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest; and two misdemeanors.
Ameral plead guilty to all charges on October 7. According to Court documents, imposition of sentence is suspended on Counts one and two and Ameral was placed on probation for five years. On Count three, Ameral was sentenced to 60-days in jail and 30-days in jail for Count four with credit for time served. Each sentence is to run concurrently.
