
A Gilliam woman sustained serious injuries in a vehicle crash on Sunday in Saline County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when 82-year-old Ronald Leimkuehler, of Gilliam, lost control of the vehicle he was driving after he slowed down to avoid hitting a combine. The 1974 GMC Truck traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
A passenger in the vehicle, 80-year-old Margaret Leimkuehler, sustained serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. Ronald Leimkuehler was transported by ambulance to University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday on Route D at 279th Road in Saline County.
