A 19-year-old LaMonte man was seriously injured in a vehicle crash in Pettis County early Tuesday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when Austin Schoenherr was traveling at westbound on Boonville Road at a high rate of speed. His vehicle went airborne after traveling over the Katy Trail. After impacting the ground, his vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The crash occurred at 1:25 a.m. on Boonville Road, approximately a quarter of a mile east of Sedalia.
