Since last reported, a number of positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in several counties in the KMMO listening area.

According to health-department officials, 56 new positive cases were reported in Pettis County, raising its total to 1,395 since the beginning of the pandemic. With 1,083 positive cases recovered and 22 deaths, there are 290 active cases, including 13 positive patients hospitalized.

In Lafayette County, the positive case count increased by 22 from 660 to 682. There have been 20 deaths. The county is scheduled to report the number of recoveries and active cases on Friday, October 16.

Saline County reported three new positive cases on Tuesday, October 13, to go with 17 others since last reported, increasing the total to 920. With 825 positive patients recovered and 12 deaths, there are 83 active cases, including six persons hospitalized.

Fourteen new positive cases were added in Howard County to 365. With 31 more recoveries- bringing that total to 314- and one death, there are 50 active cases.

The positive case count rose by 10 from 168 to 178 in Carroll County. Due to 150 positive patients recovered and three deaths, there are 25 active cases.

No new positive cases were reported in Chariton County, which has had 78 total since the start of the pandemic. One more positive patient was released from public health isolation as recovered, increasing that total to 77, leaving one active case in the county.

Cooper County health officials did not update numbers on Tuesday.
