With Halloween coming up, an area health department’s officials are issuing some concerns.
During the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force meeting on Tuesday, October 13, health department officials said there is serious concern that Halloween will serve as a significant source of spread of the virus in the community.
Officials say Halloween parties are a high-risk activity for the transmission of the virus. They say, “If you must attend an event, please include a cloth face covering to your costume and keep it on during the party.”
Health officials say children trick or treating should avoid large crowds. There are a variety of activities being planned to help create a safer environment for collecting Halloween treats.
Health officials also say, “Please think carefully about how you celebrate the holiday.”
