
Two more COVID-19-related deaths were reported in an area county on Wednesday, October 14.
According to health-department officials, this brings the total to five deaths in Carroll County since the beginning of the pandemic. No new positive cases were reported in the county, so that total remained at 178. With 154 positive patients recovered and five deaths, there are 19 active cases, including three persons hospitalized.
The total positive case count shot up by 71 over a six-day period- from October 7 to 13 in Cooper County. The total positive case count is now 576- including 432 county residents and 144 corrections inmates. With 487 positive patients recovered and three deaths, there are 86 active cases, including six persons currently hospitalized.
In Pettis County, the positive case count grew by 22 to 1,417 on Wednesday. Due to 1,093 positive patients recovered and 22 deaths, there are 302 active cases, including 14 persons hospitalized.
Five new positive cases were reported in Saline County on Wednesday, raising its total to 925. With 840 positive patients recovered- including 15 on Wednesday- and 12 deaths, the active case count decreased to 73, including six persons hospitalized.
In Chariton County, three new positive cases were reported, increasing the total to 81. With 77 positive patients recovered, there are four active cases.
