
During the most-recent meeting of the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen, the board considered a bid for the replacement of a ball fence.
Mayor Franny Vaught opened the only bid of $3962.58- with additional concrete expense of $400-$600- from Koppel Fabrication.
Mayor Vaught asked if the recreation board has enough money to repair the fence. City Clerk Michelle Fuehring it does.
Aldermen voted to approve the bid.
In other news, the board approved the applications for the Transient Guest Tax for the 2021 year to be made available for pick up.
In other business, Dee Friel, with the Sweet Springs Optimist Club, told the board and the community that the Optimist Club will not be hosting the annual “Trunk or Treat” event this year.
