
There was another large increase of positive cases of COVID-19 in one county in the immediate KMMO listening area on Thursday, October 22.
According to health-department officials, in Pettis County, 30 new positive cases were added, raising the total to 1,646 since the beginning of the pandemic. With 1,157 positive patients released from public health isolation as recovered and 24 deaths, there are 465 active cases, including 15 persons hospitalized.
In Saline County, 14 new positive cases were reported, increasing its total to 982. Three more recoveries upped that total to 891, and with 14 deaths, there are 77 active cases, including seven persons hospitalized.
Twelve new positive cases were added in Howard County, raising its total to 401. With 357 positive patients released as recovered- including three on Thursday- and one death, there are 43 active cases.
Chariton County added two new positive cases, raising its total to 90. With 79 positive patients recovered, there are 11 active cases.
Updates were not available from Carroll, Cooper and Lafayette Counties.
