The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of the KMMO listening area.
According to a news release, the advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. Monday, October 26, to 1 a.m. Tuesday, October 27.
Snow and some mixed precipitation are expected. The total snow accumulation of one to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected.
Drivers are urged to plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and/or evening commutes.
A hard freeze is expected, with low temperatures Monday night into Tuesday morning falling into the upper teens in northwest Missouri to near 30 in central Missouri.
The advisory is in effect for 37 counties in Missouri, including Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Lafayette and Pettis Counties.
